Hello my friends, and good morning!
Kev and I had our weekly (Friday) day date at a lovely, laid back Italian spot in Kits, called Nook, with a great view of the beach. We sipped our Aperol Spritz’s in the sun and enjoyed pizza, salad, and caught up on life. It was simply delightful!
After, we picked up a second-hand Thule bike trailer I found on Facebook marketplace so we could start going for weekend bike rides with Autumn. Autumn absolutely *loves* it! We spent the entire day yesterday biking around, stopping for lunch, and ending our day at the beach.

Since moving to Vancouver, I’ve found a new love for biking. With the city’s breathtaking views and fresh air, it’s hard not to. The crisp coastal breeze, the vibrant greenery, and those mountain backdrops make every ride feel like a mini escape. It’s become my favorite way to unwind and soak in the beauty of my new home. Does this now mean I am becoming a true Vancouverite?
Anyway, enough about me, onto what I wore this week:
Monday
It was a PJs day. You may have already seen me talk about the PJs but they truly are the best ever. Softest PJs I own— they rival my Eberjeys. They’re by a small Canadian business called Lorraine Lounge. She gave me a code: AMBER10 for 10% off.
Tuesday
I took myself on a little day date to my favorite sushi spot that’s about a 5 minute walk from where I live. The rolls are fantastic, the prices are even better, and I get to sit outside on the patio and people watch. I’ve been frequenting the spot 2x a week lately. When I threw this on I thought to myself, “this isn’t my best look.” I knew things were off but it was one of those ‘run out the door and throw on the first lightweight dress you see’ situations. Still, I shared the look to my IG stories and an anonymous account (it’s always the fake accounts, isn’t it?) that said “tacky!” Honestly, I wasn’t even offended, I knew it wasn’t my best, and I think it’s because there is no flow. The white flats, the dark dress, the woven beige bag, while all great pieces separately, it doesn’t jive as a whole. I wanted to show you this as I don’t always get it right. :P
Wednesday
Kev and I had a quick little evening date in our “backyard” (and by backyard, I mean across the street). I wanted a reason to wear my all time favorite dress again. I bought this linen beauty from Banana Republic last year during their summer sale (now sold out) and it has remained my all time favorite dress since. The cut, the drape, the fabric, the classic waistline, it is all so, so perfect. I paired it with these casual black sandals and a woven bag from Verafied, which I’ve had for years.
Friday

It’s “day date” day! The one day a week where I can get dressed up (and wear white sans toddler) :P
Saturday

As mentioned, we hit the beach and biked all day. While I changed out of my mesh flats (not biking friendly footwear) I did want to share as I was *so* excited when I received these beauties! It’s giving Christopher Esber at a fraction of the price. I don’t jump on every fashion trend (*cough cough,* capris) but mesh flats have me in a chokehold. They’re comfortable and stylish, and have the same light feeling as sandals. They seem to go with everything, blending practically with contemporary. It’s a win-win in my book!
Until next time,
