But first, a moment for these matching mommy-daughter shoes I got on sale from Browns. I am fully taking advantage of these matching moments with Autumn before she gets old enough to have her own preferences in dressing. I know the day is coming where she says, “No mommy, I want to wear my Frozen t-shirt”. Until then, we shall match and I will enjoy every second of it!
Last night Kev and I started Presumed Innocent on Apple TV. The ads got to me— if you haven’t heard of it either on the radio, ads on the telly, or while online browsing, Apple is putting *a lot* of ad spend revenue into pushing this show, and I now understand why, it is SO. GOOD. Fully worth the hype IMO. Had all of the episodes been released at once, I would have binged so hard last night (and ultimately regretted my decision this morning having been up since 5am) but alas, only two episodes are available at the moment (with new episodes being released every Wednesday). Last night I thought of whether I should keep up with it every Wednesday, biting my nails at each cliff hanger they leave on us, or wait the full 2 months until all the episodes are available so I can binge and leave my curiosity satisfied. I still haven’t decided. But I am here to tell you, if you love psychological mysteries like me, this show should absolutely be on your *must watch* list. I haven’t seen the 1990 version and don’t plan on watching it now because I don’t want to spoil the ending for myself.
On another note, Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there! While I’m certain 0% of you are reading this post, wishing you a wonderful day nonetheless. Yesterday I had bought tickets to a MiLB game for us since Kevin is a big baseball guy but, sadly, we missed the game because Kev spent the better half of the day at emergency care. It’s a long story but in short, they believe he tore his rotator cuff. His X-ray came back fine but now he’s waiting for an ultrasound so we’ll see. We did still manage to salvage the remainder of the day by hitting up a local brewery (also something up his alley) followed by a family walk at the dog park for Penny to get some fresh air. Today I don’t have much planned but I did get him a funny little gift he and Autumn can enjoy together.
Anyway, that’s all on my week. Now, everything I wore this week:
Monday
We love an all black moment in the midst of summer, right? Given that Vancouver has cooler, or more mild, weather, most of my outfits this week are dressed for such.
Tuesday
Day date with Kev. We recently started fitting in day dates rather than evening dates and it’s changed the game for us! Since our move to Vancouver we don’t have any additional help/ baby sitters so finding time for us has been extremely challenging (basically nonexistent) but since Autumn started at her dayhome part time, we’ve found this is a great way for us to fit in our “us” time again.
Wednesday
A family fun day out!
Friday
Both Thursday and Friday were spent in loungewear. I ordered this set from Negative and am absolutely in love. Is it weird this lounge set (top and bottom) makes me feel sexier than all my other outfits? It’s extremely lightweight, super soft, and so comfy. Cannot recommend it enough!
Saturday
Inadvertently saved the best for last. By the way, this denim set from Gap kids is so cute!
Until next time,
—Amber
Last one is a favorite — love the outfit but especially the matching sneaks (so cute!!). 💜🩷 Hope your husband feels better & glad to see you’re enjoying/adjusting to Vancouver. 🫶🏻 Have you been able to finish Tuesdays with Morrie? 🙈
