Jeans: The versatile chameleons of our wardrobes. They’re the quintessential piece that can take us from a casual brunch to a more polished evening out with just a few tweaks. Whether it’s a busy day chasing after toddlers, a casual lunch in the city, or a last-minute night out, my jeans never fail me. In a world full of fast fashion and fleeting trends, my jeans are the one constant, grounding me with their timeless appeal. Let’s be honest though, while they’re a staple, jeans can sometimes fall into the realm of mundane.
Let’s take a moment to talk about the undeniable confidence boost that comes with a well-put-together outfit. Hajo Adam and Adam D. Galinsky did a study in 2012 noting the effects of our attire and how it can significantly impact our self-perception and confidence levels— a concept known as “enclothed cognition.” Simply put, when we feel good in what we’re wearing, we carry ourselves with more assurance. And nothing embodies this better (IMO) than a pair of perfectly styled, well-fitting pair of jeans.
