Good morning, I guess I should say, afternoon. I’m writing to you today from a coffee shop! I know that doesn’t sound like a big deal but it is to me, and here’s why. For the last two years I have been attached at the hip with a little being, and now that she’s in a wonderful little dayhome part time, I have moments to myself again. I’m able to sit in a coffee shop alone (for the first time in 2 years) and enjoy my coffee hot while pulling out my laptop to write like a very distinguished working woman. *Not pictured: me wearing my sweatsuit as I type this, sans makeup and 2-day hair pulled back into a ponytail.* But nevertheless, I’m thoroughly enjoying my time alone here while I sip on my cortado and make pretty collages of some lovely dresses I’ve been wearing on repeat so far this spring/summer.

I’ve been wearing Jenni Kayne dresses nonstop this season. They’re so comfortable, the quality is top notch, and they’re classic in style, so they’ll stick around in my wardrobe for many years to come.
I made a vlog last week (first one in over 2 years) as an intro back to YouTube. In short, I took some time off of YT but am slowly making my way back to that platform, and I unboxed this perfect summer bag as part of the vlog. This brand has quickly become my absolute favorite for bags. The quality, the simplistic design, the neutral palettes, it’s all so… perfect. I’ll be wearing this beauty of a bag all summer long. And bonus point for it being large enough to fit all of my toddler’s (and husband’s) things on our outings.
Okay, honest review time. I have a lot to say about this dress. First, it’s beyond cute and while it looks like a paper sack, a cute paper sack nonetheless, it’s extremely lightweight and comfortable. Here’s the downside: it’s basically see-through… there is no lining. I didn’t know this when ordering (my own fault for not reading more thoroughly) so I’m hear to tell you- if you’re looking for a beach coverup (which this is) then this is perfect. The photos on the website look much more heavier in fabric weight than it actually is, and while I would never suggest anyone to order this dress on full price, their sale (which is happening now) is a good price point for such dress. Something also worth noting is it runs very big. I ordered my usual size (small) but should’ve ordered an XS. Anyway, I will continue to wear it because it’s cute and I like the vibe but I’ll wear the proper undergarments underneath. :P
Until next time,
—A
